The Soliton Smart Telecaster range provides a range of enterprise products that are used to encode, encrypt and stream live video content from remote locations over mobile the 3G or 4G LTE networks. It is possible to connect up to 6 SIM cards from different telecom companies that are bonded together to form a highly resilient and secure quality of service connection back to the command centre or control room. If one telecom company should fail then the system will automatically adjust the transmission route of the video distribution without loss of service.
Mobile Streaming at speed
The Zao and Zao-S units can be placed in moving vehicles such as ambulances, motorcycles, fire engines and helicopters and do not need line of sign communications as with existing RF technologies. The units can be mounted and used in high speed pursuit cars where they have been proven to work well. The broadcasting units can be mounted in drones or fixed in place at a static location for discrete covert video surveillance or for crowd surveillance.
The Zao-S, given its size and lightweight, can also be discretely carried on a person and used with a mobile bodycam. It can be used in conjunction with other law enforcement needs such as facial recognition applications for providing covert instant identification of suspects
Encryption is also an important feature for logistics, military and other government agencies. As well as encoding and multiplexing over multiple 3G and 4G LTE networks, the Zao units also supports full AES 256 encryption.
The HD-View decoding unit, normally located at the command centre to decrypt back to full HD video for full instant viewing and recording, can also be used to remotely manage Zao’s and can also be used to remotely move PTZ cameras. The end-to-end latency from camera to remote viewing is considered very quick, typically around 0.5 second
